How to get more new dental patients from Google Maps.

Review recency, insurance clarity and same week availability, in that order.

· 5 min read

Dental map ranking is unusually sensitive to reviews, and especially to recent ones. A practice collecting four or five reviews a month steadily outperforms one with a larger total that stopped asking two years ago.

Insurance is the second filter. Patients search for a dentist who takes their plan, and profiles that name accepted plans in the description and services capture searches that generic profiles miss entirely.

Availability is the third. New patients call several offices and book the first one that can see them soon. If you have same week or Saturday appointments, that belongs in the profile, in your ad copy and near the top of the homepage.

Underneath all of it, complete the profile properly: correct categories, every service listed individually, photos of the office and team, and direct booking. Emergency searches in particular reward a profile that looks open and reachable right now.

The short version

  • Steady recent reviews beat a large stale total.
  • Name accepted insurance plans where patients can see them.
  • Advertise the soonest appointment you can honestly offer.
