Med spaReviews & reputation

How many reviews does a med spa need?.

Enough to look established locally, and specific enough to sell the treatment.

Compare yourself to the three profiles above you in your own city search. In a market like Miami or Dallas that usually means several hundred reviews at the top. In Knoxville the same position takes a fraction of that.

Volume gets you into the consideration set. Content is what converts. A review that names the injector and the treatment does two jobs at once: it matches searches for that treatment and it reassures the next patient that somebody like them had a good outcome.

Ask at the right moment, which in aesthetics is not at checkout. Tox results appear over several days, so a text at day seven, when the patient is looking in the mirror pleased, produces both more reviews and better ones.

Do not offer anything in return. Incentivized reviews break platform policy and FTC endorsement rules, and in a regulated medical category the exposure is worse than a slower review count.

The short version

  • Benchmark against the top three profiles in your own city.
  • Ask at day seven for tox, not at checkout.
  • Reviews naming the treatment and injector convert best.
