How to get more eye exam bookings from Google Maps.

Two questions decide it: are you close, and do you take my plan.

· 5 min read

Eye exam searches are among the most local in healthcare. People pick a practice within a few miles and then check whether their vision plan is accepted, in that order.

So the profile has to answer both. Correct primary category, every service listed individually, from comprehensive exams to contact lens fittings to dry eye evaluation, and the accepted plans named in the profile description and services where the platform allows it.

Add photos of the actual office and the actual optical, plus the doctors. Patients searching for an eye doctor are choosing somewhere to sit for forty five minutes, and an interior photo does more reassurance work than any tagline.

Then answer the questions section yourself before somebody else does. Do you take VSP, do you see children, is there parking, can I get contacts the same day. These are the exact questions holding a booking up, and answering them in the profile removes a phone call from the process.

The short version

  • Name the vision plans you accept where patients can see them.
  • List every service separately, including specialty care.
  • Fill in the profile questions before patients ask them.
