Why insurance pages are the best SEO an eye care practice can do.
High intent, low competition, and almost nobody builds them.

Somebody searching for an optometrist who takes their specific plan has already decided to book. They are looking for permission, not persuasion, and there are usually very few pages competing for that search in any given city.
Build one page per plan you accept. Name the plan in the title, explain what it typically covers for exams, frames and contacts, say what a patient should bring, and give them a way to book on the page.
Keep the coverage language careful and general, since plan details vary by employer and tier. The page is not a benefits explainer, it is a signal that you accept the plan and know how it works.
Then keep them accurate. A page claiming a plan you dropped last year produces angry phone calls and bad reviews, which costs more than the traffic was worth. Review the set once a year when your contracts change.
The short version
- One page per accepted plan, named in the title.
- Keep coverage language general and let the booking be the point.
- Audit the pages annually against your actual contracts.
