Why med spa memberships beat discounts.
A discount buys one visit. A membership buys a year and stops the price war.

The standard aesthetics growth plan is a monthly special, and it works exactly once per patient. Then the patient waits for the next special, and your price is now the discounted price.
A membership changes the shape of the relationship. The patient pays monthly, accrues credit toward treatments, and gets member pricing on everything else. You get predictable revenue, a reason to see them on a schedule, and a patient who has already spent money with you before they walk in.
Price it so the membership is obviously the better deal for anyone visiting more than twice a year, and make cancellation genuinely easy. Hesitation at signup costs you more members than churn ever will, and a member who leaves after eight months still spent more than a discount chaser.
The operational half matters as much as the pricing. Members need a reason to come in, so build the reminders: tox at week twelve, facial monthly, a check in when credit accumulates. Memberships that nobody nudges turn into unused balances and cancellations.
The short version
- Discounts train patients to wait. Memberships train them to return.
- Make joining easy and cancelling easier.
- Reminders are what keep members active, not the pricing.
